Student Testimonials

“The best part of a hybrid online class is the flexibility. Everyone’s lives seem to be more demanding when it comes to time. It is nice to be able to walk into the home office and fire up the computer for a writing assignment.  No matter what time of day or night the virtual classroom is just a step away. Even when I was thousands of miles from the Dearborn area, I was still able to write and turn in a paper  on time. I was also able to receive feedback on my paper so I could work on improving it before class. It was also nice to sit down in the normal structured classroom setting on that one night a week.”

“I have enjoyed English 131 very much. I have learned much more than I thought possible. Having the class instruction and discussion 50% online and 50% in person allowed me to relax and gain a different perspective on learning.  The group discussions and discussion board entries of other students made the difference in my success. Being able to view the work of other students gave me a sense of direction in my own work.   I learned from their mistakes, and I hope that they learned from mine. Being able to ask questions of the instructor as well as other students increased the likelihood that I would retain what I learned. The old adage "the best way to learn something is to teach it" is absolutely true. My success in this class is a testimony to this truth. I recommend this online class to all students that must take English 131.”                                                                                                                                                       Sonya Parks, Legal Assistant Program.
