Click on the Question after you’ve read it
|

Scroll the screen down to the bottom.

You
must type a subject such as the Question #; if you don’t, you will lose
your work.

Click Submit Message to send your answer for the
Discussion question

Click “Exams” under Quizzes

Read the directions carefully. Do not leave this screen until you have completed the
quiz or you will be locked out from taking it.

Use the Scroll bar to move down the screen.
|
|
|

Type your answer to each question in the text box. Make sure you answer all parts of the
question or you will lose points.
Scroll down to answer the next question.
|
|


|
|
Be
sure you check the box to indicate you are submitting your quiz for a
grade, or you will lose all your answers. Then click Submit Exam.
|
|


|
|
If you get this error message, you have left the quiz
without completing it and now are locked out and cannot retake the
quiz. Email the instructor: pkearly@henryford.ucompass.com
and he will reset your access to the quiz, but only for the first
quiz. For all future quizzes, you
must remember to complete the quiz before leaving the screen.

How to Submit Assignments on UCompass

Click the name of the Assignment that you need to
complete
|

Read the instructions for the assignment carefully. Scroll down as you read the instructions.
|
|



Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
|
|

|
|
You have two ways to submit your assignment: copy and
paste into the Student Comments box, or click Browse to attach your
assignment as a file.
|
|
If you click Browse to use the attach file method of
submission, a new window will appear asking you to find your file on your
computer. Click the drop-down arrow
next to “Look in:” to find the drive where you saved your assignment.
|
|

Once you have found your assignment, click on it so that
it appears in the “File name:” drop down window. Click OPEN.
|
|





The name of your assignment should appear in the window
under “Optional File Upload.” Be sure
that there is a green check mark in “Submit for Grading” or the instructor
will not receive the assignment.
Click Submit.
|
|






|
|
If you’ve uploaded your assignment successfully, you
will see the file next to “Attached File(s).” To find out your grade, click on the
Assignment link again, click on the name of the assignment as you did
above, then you should see “Instructor Comments” as well as your “Current
Grade.” You will be allowed to resubmit
your assignment two additional times, as indicated next to “Submissions
Allowed.”

Click “Course Email” to send your assignment as an
attachment. I can only read documents saved in Microsoft Word or
“Rich Text Format”

Click “Research Paper” for Instructions for the Research
Paper.

Click on the assignment name to get instructions for
that assignment.

Click Assignments to view the instructions for each
assignment, including essays.
|

Course Documents have handouts to help with grammar and
other writing issues.
|
|
|
After you click Course Materials, you will see these
folders. You can store your work in
“my folders” to work on later, especially if you forget your floppy disk.
|

Sample Assignments provide instructor prepared samples
of each assignment and discussion question.

to. If you are using a Flash/Thumb Drive,
the letter is usually E:/ or F:/

Find the Drive where you saved your document.

Double click on your
document.
|

You should see the name of the document in the field
next to Browse. Click Send Mail to
send your assignment to the instructor as an email attachment.
